What this site loads
Every page on farlens.ai is served from one origin and requests nothing from anyone else. There is no analytics script, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no embedded video, no social widget, and no remote font. Your browser talks to farlens.ai and to nobody else, which means no third party learns your IP address or which pages you read.
Until 10 August 2026 this was not quite true: the pages loaded their typeface from Google's font CDN, which meant Google's servers saw the IP address of every visitor. We removed it and fell back to the typeface already on your device. We mention it because a page like this is worth nothing if it only describes the flattering version.
What we store in your browser
Two items, both written by the site's own JavaScript into your browser's local storage rather than into cookies. Neither is sent anywhere while you are only reading. Neither identifies you.
| Key | Store | Contents | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
fl_hero |
localStorage | A single letter, a or b |
Records which of two home-page headlines you were shown, so a returning visitor sees the same one instead of the page appearing to change identity between visits. | Until you clear your browser storage |
fl_attr |
sessionStorage | Any utm_* values in the link you arrived on, the path of
the first page you landed on, the referring site, and the
fl_hero letter |
Tells us which pages and campaigns bring people to Farlens. First touch wins, so it is written once per visit and not updated as you browse. | Deleted when you close the tab |
When any of it leaves your browser
Only if you submit the waitlist form, and only then. The waitlist form
is currently switched off — the home page shows a notice in its place
and no email address is being collected at all. When it opens, submitting it
sends your email address together with the fl_attr values above,
so that we can tell which page persuaded you. Reading the site, using the
calculators, and browsing the event guides send nothing.
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into them are never transmitted and never stored — not in a cookie, not in local storage, not on a server.
Analytics
There is no analytics on this site today. We intend to add Plausible, which is EU-hosted and counts visits without cookies and without tracking anyone between sites. This page and the subprocessor list will be updated on the day it goes in rather than in advance of it.
Clearing what is stored
Both keys are removable from your browser's site-data or storage settings for
farlens.ai, and both are cleared by private browsing when the window closes.
Removing fl_hero means the next visit may show you the other
headline. Nothing else about the site changes.
