About Farlens
Farlens exists because of a gap that shouldn't: geopolitical intelligence is priced for institutions, and the tools priced for individuals ignore the world.
If you follow markets from the Gulf, from London, or from anywhere the news arrives before the opening bell, you already know that the things that move portfolios most violently — a strait closing, a sanctions programme expanding, a canal running dry — are exactly the things your brokerage app says nothing about. The institutional desks have that coverage; it costs more than most people's annual investment returns. Farlens is our attempt to close that gap with software: licensed event data, our own scoring and exposure mapping, and plain-language reads that always carry both sides of the argument.
Farlens began as the founder's personal research system — built to answer "what does today's world mean for the names I actually hold?" — and grew into a product when it became clear the question wasn't unique. It is built and run independently, with the same engine serving the founder's own research and the product. We use what we ship.
The lines we won't cross
- Tools, not advice. No buy/sell calls, no price targets, no entry or exit levels — anywhere, ever.
- No trade execution. Farlens never takes brokerage access and never places orders. Permanent design position, not a roadmap item.
- Both sides, always. Every read carries the bull case and the bear case. A tool that argues one side is doing your thinking for you.
- Open methodology. Including the validation grades that aren't flattering — see methodology.
